The Philadelphia 76ers moving on from head coach Brett Brown has been long overdue.
ESPN reported Monday that Brett Brown was relieved of his duties as head coach of the 76ers.
Brown held the head coaching position for the 76ers for seven seasons. After four straight losing seasons, Philadelphia went 146-91 the last three seasons with all being playoff appearances. They made the Eastern Conference semifinals the last two seasons but was swept by the Boston Celtics in the first round of the playoffs this season.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reported the Ravens are releasing Earl Thomas. The move comes after Thomas was sent home Friday for punching teammate Chuck Clark. Baltimore announced they terminated his contract for personal conduct that has adversely affected the Ravens.
Thomas took to Instagram to comment on his release from the team.

Speculation has come out that Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson could soon be landing a large contact with the team. Houston Chronicle's John McClain has reported Watson's long-term deal could happen sooner than people think. The NFL's transaction wire showed the Cowboys releasing Gerald McCoy with an injury waiver. Dallas made the move after McCoy ruptured his right quadriceps tendon in practice this week. He's expected to be out for the whole season due to the injury.
