In a move that has been expected for several weeks, the Cleveland Browns have officially relieved Freddie Kitchens of his head coaching duties after finishing the season with a 6-10 record.

The Browns entered the 2019 season with high expectations, but it seemed though the coaching staff, specifically Freddie Kitchens, were overwhelmed for much of the season.

The Cleveland Browns have surrounded quarterback Baker Mayfield with talent for the 2019 season, most notably trading for wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. in March.

It’s unclear just how coveted the head coaching job will be in the offseason, but the next head coach will once again have a high draft pick.  The Cleveland Browns locked up the tenth overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft with their 23-33 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals.
