With the Baltimore Ravens planning to move on from Earl Thomas, both sides now have uncertain futures.
ESPN's Adam Schefter reported the Ravens are releasing Earl Thomas. The move comes after Thomas was sent home Friday for punching teammate Chuck Clark. Baltimore announced they terminated his contract for personal conduct that has adversely affected the Ravens.
Thomas took to Instagram to comment on his release from the team.
"Appreciate the Ravens organization for the opportunity," Thomas wrote. "Had a great run .. Wish things would have ended different but you live and you learn. Thank you Eric DeCosta and everyone else...
Dallas Cowboys fans got the surprising news Tuesday that the team released Gerald McCoy.
The NFL's transaction wire showed the Cowboys releasing Gerald McCoy with an injury waiver. Dallas made the move after McCoy ruptured his right quadriceps tendon in practice this week. He's expected to be out for the whole season due to the injury.
With Dallas releasing him, they are able to save about $2.5 million in base salary guarantees due to the injury. The terms of that specific part is found in McCoy's contract with the team when he signed.
McCoy spent his first nine seasons with the Tampa...

After eight seasons with Dallas, Bryant was released...
While Michael Bennett might not be a first-ballot hall of farmer, he is greatly underrated at his position.
Michael Bennett announce on his Instagram page Tuesday that he would retire after 11 seasons in the NFL.

After signing with Tampa Bay, he improved in his four seasons there finishing his last season there with nine sacks in 2012. He resigned with the Seahawks and played there for five seasons. No NFL Hall of Fame game and a postponed enshrinement ceremony is only the beginning.
ESPN's Adam Schefter reported the NFL has decided to cancel the Pro Football Hall of Fame game between the Dallas Cowboys and the Pittsburgh Steelers. The league will also postpone the enshrinement ceremony of the Hall of Fame all due to the coronavirus.
The move doesn't come as a surprise as the NFL was hoping to push back the dates of when teams start practicing together. This past weekend, the...
The Dallas Cowboys finally have Dak Prescott locked up for at least this season, but what about the future?

Andy Dalton, Dallas Cowboys
With Jamal Adams wanting a new contract, the New York Jets don't seem to be rushing to get it done.
There has been speculation that the Jets' asking price for a trade with Adams would be a first and third-round pick. The Dallas Cowboys could be interested in trading for the 24 year old safety. A new contract or a trade is most likely not going to happen anytime soon.
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported that neither is expected to happen in the near future. Dallas appears to be focused on...
The drama surrounding Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys' contract talks has proven to be a distraction.
While it has been ongoing, more speculation occurred last week with Chris Simms' report. Simms had said Dallas offered Prescott five-year, $175 million contract which he reportedly turned down.
Things got interesting when later in the week Ian Rapoport reported that Simms' news was incorrect. The difference between both sides is the length of the contract. Prescott wants a shorter deal while the Cowboys want to lock him up...
Andy Dalton's college career was played in Fort Worth at TCU. Nine years after graduating from TCU, it appears he's returning home.
ESPN's Adam Schefter reported Saturday night that Dalton is signing a one-year contract with the Dallas Cowboys. The deal is worth up to $7 million with $3 million of it guaranteed.
The move makes a lot of sense for Dallas that has desperately been looking for a good backup to Dak Prescott. Dalton's home is located in Dallas so it's a win-win for both...
